How to reconnect internet to computer

hello my name is mrs borg i have internet on my computer at home and i have unpluged the computer and moved in to another room it is saying that i need to reconnet the internet but i dont know how to so it would be a pleasure if you could help me thankyou

I replied to your other thread http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/36339-18-problems-network#t124235 before I saw this more detailed question. I still ask how is the one you're posting from connected. The one you moved may need a longer cable if it was wired. Have you any wires left over in the old room?
