Hello to all,
At this moment i'm planning to replace my 400DPI optical Nubis-Typhoon
mouse, because of accuracy issuses as well as the fact that im sick of a
muis pointer that is flying into a corner, when it likes....
If I google on Optical and Ball type, I get as much pro's as contra's.
Would you optical/ball users, share your "updated-experiance"with me??
At this moment there are 2 on my list:
Boomslang (Ball type)
Logitech 518 (optical)

I use a Logitech MX 1000 laser mouse at work and the Razer Diamondback
optical at home. They are both excellent. I would go for the Diamondback
if gaming is your priority, it is lighter and isn't wireless. The MX 1000
is the ultimate comfort mouse, perfect for long days at the office.

I also use a razer diambondback, very good laser mouse.... even works on my
desk with no mousepad. Best of all, it never spins around in the corner of
the screen like my old logitech.

Of course I use and swear by the Razer Diamondback 1600 dpi optical
mouse. I also use the eXact mat that they sell as well, coms with both a
speed and control side surface. The mouse has adjustable sensitivity
(on the fly even ). the side buttons are a bit thin but other then that
an excellent mouse.

go fully optical with no moving parts, also use the USB to PS2 adaptor,
USB can have latencey issues, PS2 port is VERY low level and high
priority on a PC.
avoid wireless mice too, for gaming.
