I am trying to connect dtv hd/dvr hr20 to the internet. I have a linksys wet54g bridge which is configured on my wireless net work, it is connected to the hr20 via Ethernet. I manually set the ip,subnet, gateway and the dns. when I try to connect the receiver everything comes up okay, network says network connected, but no internet. I am receiving error message 22. I noticed no lights blinking on the bridge or the wtg54g router. Any help would very much be appreciated.
I did a receiver reboot, and and hooked a lap top to the wet54 via the ethernet port, same hook up as the hr20 with the same results, very good strong signal to the network, but unable to access the internet. I set up the wet54g again using the ip address the router assigned 192.168.1.226, the subnet mask at 255 255 255 0, and the gateway and dns at 192.168.1.254. Which all are all the same as the other computers in the network. Still no success connecting to net. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks
