Can the power supply cause a 30 second delay before POST

I have a new power supply and it caused my system to wait for 30 seconds before it starts to POST. I have already pressed power on.. all activity shows, LED and fans but will start to post only after 30 seconds approximately. I tried using my old powersupply and now shows the same results. Can the power supply actually do this?

No. Check the BIOS because a setting has changed. Verify if there's an option for quick boot or something similar and enable it.

Something in the Bios sequence is timing out.... reset it...

I guess my 1 year old daughter did something with the bios. I saw her on bios while I was doing something with the power supply. I'll try to reset it again. I just bought a new corsair power supply and I was like.. my old ps was doing better. It's exactly 30 seconds so I would assume its the bios. Thanks for your reply. Glad I don't have to change ps again. Which should I choose? both are best... hehehe
