Windows 7 does not recognize video card

I have a Radeon 4850HD that I have been using for a couple years. I just switced from windows xp to windows 7 but the device manager says that its only a standard VGA card, it doesn't see it as an ATI card.
I tried installing the catalyst control and uninstalled the VGA driver but still nothing. Also my display works fine through the HDMI port but no sound being recognized either.
