What is a VTX 4650?

I think it's the AMD HD 4650. If you plan on gaming with that card, it will be really weak.

It's not mine, it's just for him, also. Is it compatible with this motherboard?

I'm getting a 7770, that should be okay right?

As long as his motherboard has a PCI-Express x16 slot (very common even in cheapo computers today), he will be able to use it, just tell him it's not good at gaming if he intends to play modern games with it. The HD 7770 is decent for gaming, you will be fine with most games with that GPU.

Well, I checked some stuff on youtube running with the 4650, and it seems to run most games on an average of 30fps on average settings.

It's better than his integregated graphics and also he FOUND it laying around in his house, since his dad used to build computers for other people a long time ago, so he must have got it for free  .

Yeah, I heard alot of good stuff about the 7770, looking forward to it arriving
