Hello,

I need some advice. I am just switching from dialup to dry dsl. I am going to purchase TP Link Td 8616 modem for my dry DSL internet.

1) Should I get that just as a modem or should I just get

2) What wireless router N will work best with TP Link 8616 ? I live in a rather small to midsize home. I don't think I'll need a very expensive wireless router N.

3) do these work well with tp link 8616 ?

There seems to be some mixed reviews about this particular router. Some users weren't able to connect this modem to their routers, but some were. According to the reviews here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16825165003 the TP-Link tech support state that this modem is not designed to connect to routers.

Something like this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16825115025 would be better because it has a built in router. I haven't heard of this brand before, however, so I can't say I recommend this particular one.
