Why does my desktop mess up my internet

Hello, I have an HP Pavilion p6724y that has a wireless connection that messes up our wireless internet when it tries to download something bigger than a few megabytes. It'll work fine for five or so minutes but then it'll crash to 0 bps. The lights on the 2wire go red and reconnect after a minute or two. It only does this with my desktop, my laptop and the family computer work just fine. Is there some tweaking I need to do or what? Any help appreciated.

Im always updating drivers but it still happens
