Sound Card compatible?

I have a little issue which I can't solve alone.
I recently upgraded to windows 8,The motherboard I use is gigabyte p55-ud3r which doesn't have drivers for windows 8.
Without the drivers the sound is terrible, so I've decided to upgrade and buy creative sound blaster zx, however I have no idea how to check if this sound card is compatible with my motherboard.
Help please?

Your motherboard is using realtek ALC888 codec.

Yeah I have enough PCIE slots, the only thing I have plugged in is a GPU.
