nooby Mage questions

I am starting a Mage that will be 100% PvM and prefer to play solo unless
situation must have group. What are best ways to spend talent points? Where
should I focus....arcane? fire? cold? Any other tips welcomed!

Well, at level 24 go arcane, 5 - improved arcane missiles, 5 - arcane
concentration and 5 - improved arcane explosion, imp arcane explosion is a
MUST HAVE to all mages. It is awesome. As for 1-24, fire would be better,
ice is better later on.

id focus fire the bonuses are clearly better. i have a level 20 mage and his
fire bonus for level 20 was the pyroblast spell. this is great for nuking,
and makes the mage the ultimate ally to a pally or such

Yes, AOE grinding.

It is very good XP if you can swing it. The hardest part is getting
enough mobs in one spot.
