Am looking to build a new PC, re-using some old parts from my previous PC. I have made a list of my idea for parts but as I am not in the computer business anymore I, am very curious what you think and appreciate feedback.
I am especially interested to have a new computer that can be used for at least 5 years and would like to know whether i am wasting money on some parts which could be beter used on others.
Thanks for the help!
Approximate Purchase Date: the next 2 weeks
Budget Range: 600 - 1000 euro
System Usage from Most to Least Important: running programs (matlab e.g.), photo editing, internet, word.
Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS, Power Supply Make (hoping to re use noisetaker Enermax 420 W), DVD RW, SATA HD (+/- 300 Gb), Coolermaster Stacker case
So i think i need parts: motherboard, cpu, RAM memory, and one of those new SSD disks.
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: no preference if they ship to the Netherlands.
Country: the Netherlands
Parts Preferences: Asus for motherboard for the rest no preferences
SLI or Crossfire: No
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1200
Additional Comments: I would like a PC that i can still use in 5 years time, have the possibility for RAID, WLAN, Gbit LAN. Have no need for high end sound and video and plan to use the onboard possibilities.
