I've heard it's preferable to get the newest generation of GPU's is this true? If so what are the benefits? And does EVGA Geforce support dual monitors? Never had a geforce before.

Actually. It would be nice to hear what you want to do with it and on what kind of resolution? Single monitor, dual monitors etc? It is difficult for us to help you if we don't know what the thread starter's expectation is :)

I want dual monitor, for resolution 1920x1080 at least at ultra high setting. The options for 1920x1200, 2560x1440, 2560x1600, would be nice as well 16:10. I plan to crossfire this card in the future so I'm looking for long life span.

I also have a question. I currently run 1920x1080 on a radeon 6770 which has a native 1680x1050. AMD Catalyst has an option to over-scan or under-scan so the screens fully fills the none native resolution. Which of these GPU's support over-scan and under-scan? I'm assuming all the radeons do.

that's perfectly fine 1920x1080 will do for now. Any suggestion on GPU? I know most of these GPU's at least support 2560x1600. I want to at least just have the option for just kicks and giggles.
