I was wondering if this is good for a gaming build (first one)
I have a budget of 600$ and this just fits it
I want to make sure the parts are compatible, and all good for the price

The roswill challenger has proven to be better than the good old HAF 912 and HIS is a really good brand but this 7870: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121624&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID= is only 10$ more but it has a MUCH better cooler so more OCing potential...

Get a phenom II x4 if still available. They are cheaper and stronger. Then get a 7850 which will allow a cheaper power supply.

I'm sorry, kiddo? He wants a 6950. A 7850 is around a 6970 and about the same price plus less power equals a cheaper psu (Not necessarily lower quality). A phenom is as strong as an FX and cheaper.

If it's cheaper or the same price yes. Otherwise an OC phenom trades blows with a SB 3 and kills it in threaded apps. IB may be a little stronger, but also more expensive.

wo wo wo wait... an i3 3220 is NOT an i3 2120. Ivy bridge might only be a die shrink with small improvements but Ivy bridge's Hyper threading was improved too.

BS, not in heavily threaded apps or any app that uses 4 cores (games), the HT feature was improved in Ivy.
