language settings - am i in the right discussion board

hi
i dont know if i am in the right discussion board, but i am having trouble
with my language settings. i have installed the component that allows me to
write in japanese when required in micrsort word. the problem i have is that
the actual task bar for the program is in japanese and i cant understand the
different options. they have it installed on the uni computers and it works
fine, the task bar is in english, but on my home computer it is in japanese.
can someone please tell me how to change it? no-one i know has any idea.
