Does PSU orientation effect temperature?

Just wondering if its hotter/nosier with the fan in-taking through the case (up) or through the floor (down).

The first option is the best idea. The floor gives it less area to take air from.

Thanks. Its currently what I'm running but its getting pretty noisy under load, just wasn't sure if it was effecting it.

It all depends on how warm your pc is. If you have alot of clearance under the pc (decent feet and not sitting on the carpet) I would consider flipping it to see if it cools off better.
