My dell mini inspiron turns on the screen goes black

Hello,
My dell mini inpspiron turns on then the screen goes black. I have tried F2 ,F8,and F12. I have tried running the test they all passed. i really dont kow what to do i have looked up everything to try to fix this. I have had this computer for about 3 years. It worked for about a year then one day it just went to the black screen. i left it alone for about a year then i tried to turn it on and it worked just fine for a couple pf months. Then it went back to the black screen.
