Whats the max temp on prime95? Im trying to OC

AMD says the maximum safe temperature to run any FX-series processor at is 61C.

What temps are you getting on prime 95?

at 4Ghz im getting max at 40C with a hyper 212 Evo. Im trying to get 4.1GHZ but I keep getting a rounding error. im gonna try to raise the voltage

I cant get to 4.1Ghz without pushing voltage to 1.4125.....btw what are you voltage setting and cooler for your 6300?

Same cooler as yours. 1.32v 4.5ghz

Lower it to 1333mhz see if that helps you.

Also Im pretty sure its your motherboard holding you back is yours this one?

yep I figured my mobo was the factor here. Anyway. I got it to 4.2Ghz, ill stop there. thanks for the help! I want a new mobo but I don't want to reinstall the heatsink. and windows
