The 660Ti is finally here..!! Tweaktown got their hands on one and tested it out!!
Can't wait for the 16th of August!

http://fudzilla.com/home/item/28178-nvidia-gtx-660-ti-2...

Please be less than $350!

Yes! Finally, 660Ti!

So, You guys going for 660Ti or waiting your arse out of this one?

More about : 660ti cometh hail thy mainstream gfx lord

nice but I think that there's no way it's going to be under 350... they'd basically make 670 obsolete... why pay more than 50 for 5% or something extra performance that 670 has?
too bad I'm poor lol I would've got that but I got the 7850, still awesome, was cheaper than simple 560s in my country and has more power than stock 580.

Lol. You better check out the specs. And must i remind you, the 680, i.e. the gk104 chip was intended to be a midranger!!

Its basically a slightly gimped 670... I would consider it if I was on a budget, but I love voltage tweaking and that's something that nvidia just didn't deliver on.

Overclocked to 1255 mhz with 1333 mhz boost clock, also SLI results.
http://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx-660ti-2way-sli-o...

P9320 3DMark 11 overclocked score (comparable to GTX 680).
P15,855 3DMark 11 SLI score (compare to GTX 680 SLI at 14,500)

Thanks for the heads up Matto! (y)

I guess, you've got a point there.. However, how many frames would you increase at the highest of settings? 2 frames? 5 frames? These kepler cards are already at good good clock speeds, not to mention the many OC *editions.

On my 7970 I game at 1200/1650 since I never go below 60 fps in any of my games at those clocks although I can get a 1300/1800 stable. But in bf3 my average fps goes from 50 to 70 and never dropping below 60 just from the 925/1375 to 1200/1650 oc. The 7970 is very much a waste of money if you aren't going to overclock it to its full potential.

Now if I can run four of these........

Didn't even know you could run 3 of the 660ti's!! :heink:

Gotta plan out my future WC loop upgrades...

Exactly why the 660Ti is not.
At this performance level, the 660Ti doesn't have to be overclocked to justify its price! :D

I waited 4 Months for this!!
Not to mention, the 6 months before that for the Ivy Bridge.
Never to think about, the 3 months to get the money. xD

That saying applies in the short term, as you can see.. it kills you in the long term. :D

6 months for ivy must have been disappointing. I love my 3570k but ivy bridge could have been so much greater if Intel used a fluxless solder. I know people waiting for the radeon HD 8850/8870 for a future budget gaming rig upgrade, but by the time those are out, the gtx 760/760 ti speculation will have started. Its a neverending cycle and a gpu to oust the others for its price range will always be around the corner.

Na.. Not gonna wait for 8xxx series or the 7xx series or Haswell, now.
gonna finish it with the 660Ti and a 3570k, and yes.. Intel killed it with the Tim paste thing they did to Ivybridge.

I'm interested to see what the 650Ti ends up being and performs like. I'm wondering if Nvidia have managed to sort out the scaling problem that has been there from the 4 series onwards.

Well all things being equal I would expect the chip being called the GK107 to be a GK106 with a couple of SMX's disabled.
If it was a chip in its own right like the 440 was then it would or should be be GK108. This is what leads me to believe there is a GK 106 with 4 SMX's or 768 cores waiting to be introduced.
The only naming left to it would be 650Ti

Just guessing as you say we will see.

You forgot to mention that it could be a 192-bit-interfaced 1.5GB GDDR5 memory clocked at around 1200Mhz with a core clock of 900Mhz and 980 Quick boost.
Just completing the circle. Don't mind me :)  I'm too excited about the 660Ti right about now.

Well, take a look:

http://wccftech.com/nvidia-launches-midrange-gk106-gk10...

Quote:
Last of all is the GK107 based GTX 650 which is a GDDR5 version of the GT640 GPU featuring the same specifications of 384 cores, 1GB 192-bit memory and faster clock frequencies in addition to a 6 Pin connector to provide power.

Really want to buy a card as i dont have one in my new build at the moment but not going to with a new release around the corner. Any idea what the 660ti will cost in GBP?

Im debating which card to go for if the 660ti turns our to be too highly priced, want a card that will comfortably play arma2/3 at a decent setting level.

Just too much speculation about the price at the moment. Best advice would be.. Just wait for the release.

Anyhow, i can give you this to think about>> speculated price, £200. :)

Well it would be nice to think that it will follow the trend.
680 around £400 on launch can now be had for about £375-£380
670 around £300 on launch can now be had for about £275-£280
660 Well probably not the £200 we would hope for due to the Ti on the end.
My feeling is it depends how badly Nvidia want to shake up both AMD and the market.
To have a guess I would say somewhere between £200 and £250
They have a gap between £80 and around £275 to fill and they have at a guess 1 more 640 card, 2x 660 cards and 2X 650 cards to fill it with could be more.
So £110 for the 640 GDDR5 £150 for the 650 £170 for the 650Ti £210 for the 660SE which leaves the 660Ti with a price point of about £240.

Thats just me guessing you understand, but it is educated guessing and not just stabbing in the dark. Could still be nothing like of course :D
