so these are the 2 builds im thinking about but which one should be the best ?
or the 'better' build...

going to overclock to around 4.5 or little less...

In pure gaming terms, and ability to overclock, I would say option 1. The maximus is a great OC board. Only slight downside, obviously, with micro board, is the limitation on expansion. CPU cooler is better performance, if you want to OC, to the max. Between different 670's, always a bit difficult. MSI and Zotac have a couple of good options. Probably the best is the Asus TOP, but it's next to impossible to find, at the moment. I understand they have some quality control issues, with high-end components.
The one thing I would recommend changing, with both options, would be that Agility 3. I'm sorry, it's a piece of c**p. Their Vertex 4 is OK. Personally, I prefer either Samsung 830, or Crucial M4.

PS Toms Hardware did a review, a few months ago, of seven of the best 670's. Worth a read, if you haven't already.
