Those motherboards would push me 50 bucks over my 1500 budget. Are they really that much better? Is the motherboard I chose all that bad?

How well would my motherboard overclock? I know Bigcyco1 said not very well, but I doubt I'll need to go beyond 4.2-4.5 GHZ, and even thats unnecessarily fast.

Also is using an external hard drive for static files like music or word documents inadvisable? I have four external drives lyring around.
