Best gpu under 300

Hioo, I'm building a new rig and I've got everything plannedout except the GPU. I have a budget of under 300 on the GPU itself. The specs will be an AMD Phenom II X4 that ill probably overclock to 3.8 from 3.4 and an ASRock 970DE3/U3S3 AM3+ AMD 770 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard. For ram, the Pareema 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model MD313C81609L2 and the case is LOGISYS Computer CS305BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Enhanced SOHO Computer Case with a built in 480W Power Supply. So any suggestions? Thanks for reading :)

  1. GTX 660 Ti out on August 16th for under $300. Best bang for the buck available.

I need a more powerful gpu, but for single monitors at 1080p it is a great card.

"It's hard to fault NVIDIA's upcoming GEFORCE GTX 660 Ti and for good reason. You're talking about a video card that is rumored to hit at the mid-$200 range yet performs like a video card priced $100 more. In this case we're talking about the HD 7950 specifically. You could argue that it can be compared against the more expensive HD 7970 at times, too."

He obviously said not over 300...I swear people on this site love fen with peoples already set budgets...
  8. I might take that ebay card of your hands ;)
  9. If you want a good card NOW that's below 300$ you cant go wrong with a HD 7870.

But in my opinion you should wait for the GTX 660 Ti to come out.It will be faster thana HD 7870.And if it's somehow above 300$ than it should at least pressure AMD into lowering HD 7850/7870/7950 prices.
