Honestly, both are so slow it doesn't matter. If you have an app running on either of those platforms, then you don't need speed. Pentium 3 (much less mobile ones) where never available in a MP chip, so it's not like the first one is a valid option.

No, I wouldn't recommend anyone use a Pentium 4 or Pentium 3.

No, I'm not using this system as a daily computer. It's going to be replacing an FIC AZ11 motherboard in one of my systems. It probably won't ever be used but I'd like for it to work.

Not exactly the answer I was looking for. But your answer seems quite reasonable. The dual pentium 3 is the cheapest so that's the one I'm buying. :D
