Hi Everyone :)

I don't know where to look for answer and I've checked on Intel website but no success.

Actually, I'm planning to buy a new computer with Intel core i-3 2100 or 2130 CPU and ASUS P7H55 mainboard. The monitor will be LG LED 23" (E2351VR) with resolution = 1920x1080.

I want to know what is the maximum resolution supported by Intel core i3 built in GPU? Will it support the 23" display at this resolution?

Also, I'm a bit concerned about the speed here. Will such large resolutions (1920x1080) slow down my computer? If yes, then I may consider buying a monitor with a lower native resolution because I've read that using LED monitors below the recommended resolutions give poor display quality and to avoid that I will have to use my monitor at the recommended resolution.

Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

hey the asus p7h55 mobo is a lga 1156 mobo
dont try to fit a lga 1155 on it or you will damage it!
buy a new motherboard with a lga 1155 socket to run it!

core i3 2100/2130 are lga 1155 cpus, they fit on sockets with 1155 pins. your listed motherboard contains lga 1156 socket which is incompatible with your chosen cpu. make sure you get a motherboard that supports lga 1155 cpus e.g. a motherboard with h61(b3 revision), h67(b3), p67(b3), z68, h77, z75, b75 or z77 chipset.
core i3 2100 has intel hd 2000 integrated gpu. supported max resolution depends on the display output in use. for example, it supports up to 2560x1600 when using displayport. taken from this link:
http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/quick-reference-guide-to-intel-processor-graphics/
and this thread

Solution
Maximum resolution using a motherboard compatible with the i3-2100 will be at least 1920 x 1200.
While the ivy and sandy bridge cpu chips may support 2560 x 1600 resolution, the motherboards may not.

You will be able to attach two monitors concurrently.
The integrated graphics is entirely suitable for desktop operations and movie viewing.
If you are planning on fast action gaming, then a discrete graphics card would be better.

And, yes, you can't use a H55 based motherboard with a i3-2100. Look for a motherboard that uses lga 1155, not lga 1156 which is on the one you listed.
