Hello,

I want to transfer my SMS messages from my 6610 to a new 6610i.
PC suite 5.1, that came with the 6610, could read them but didn't
recognise the 6610i so I installed 6.4. This version had big problems
reading my 6610 over IR, but when it finally did it complained it
couldn't restore them to a 6610i because it was an other phone type.

I tried MobiusPX from Logomanager, who had no problem reading the
messaged from the 6610 but it appears unable to write them back.
On the Oxygen website this functionality isn't mentioned either.

Does someone know software to transfer my SMS messages to the new
phone?

OK, I already found out. You have to make a backup using option 3
in PC suite and restore it with option 4. Option 1 and 2 work only
for the same type of phone.

Thank you for your request!

Our program enables to transfer SMS messages from Nokia 6610 to Nokia 6610i
without any problems. You can even connect the both phones simultaneously
(two phones by different cables or one phone by cable and one phone by
infrared). SMS messages restore procedure is the following:

1) Read SMS messages from Nokia 6610 phone
2) Save these messages to file
3) Read all messages from Nokia 6610i
4) Add messages from backup previously saved from 6610
5) Load changes back to Nokia 6610i.

Trial version enables to upload only one SMS message per program's session.
You can download the latest trial version here: http://www.opm-2.com/ There
is no such limitation in full version of Oxygen Phone Manager II. You can
register your copy of Oxygen Phone Manager II here:
http://www.opm-2.com/order/

If you have any questions and/or suggestions, concerning our
program, feel free to post them on our official forum
http://www.opm-2.com/forum/
