Question/help about a certain PSU - Unsure about PSU Brand

So I found a brand new Huntkey Case with a "Rock" 500w PSU in my garage (still in its box). I am happy with the case but I'm not sure about the PSU, I've looked at its specifications but I am still not sure if it's good or not.

It is called "Rock 500W PSU" and I searched it up on google but I haven't seen any reviews on it so can somebody help me?

Here is the google link if you'd like to branch off of it:

Thank you!

  1. It's Huntkeys own product, according to this TH article:
    http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/power-supply-oem-manufacturer,2913-6.html

I doubt that you can find any review of this unit. Maybe something in Chinese.
I wouldn't trust it to power a new gaming rig, but for web surfing pc (delivering up to half of it's nominal wattage) it should do ok.

Not really a gaming rig, but good enough to one a few games and some editing software such as Photoshop CS6 and Cinema 4D.

    -i3 2120
    -8 Gb Corsair Vengeance (2x4gb)
-Asus Pro 3 z77 intel motherboard
    -300gb hdd

Would it be able to handle that at a good pace?
  3. Since you are not using additional graphics card it should be sufficient to power this system. Your pc shouldn't draw more than 100-120W, so I guess it is in safe range for your huntkey. I wouldn't count on it delivering more than half of its declared wattage.
  4. Alright, thanks for the info!
