Optical Drive: Samsung SH-222BB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer ($16.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $1405.00

My build (http://pcpartpicker.com/ca/p/i5c0)

Approximate Purchase Date: probably looking at around January 2013 (so there's and thing that might be price cut that is better that what I've got then suggesting that would be great)

Budget Range: $1500, i would be willing to go over a bit if it would be beneficial

System Usage from Most to Least Important: primarily gaming, though also watching videos and general web surfing

Are you buying a monitor: No (but if you have any suggestions for a good monitor they would be welcome)

Do you need to buy OS: No

Location: W.A, Australia (getting pc parts shipped to australia is a bit of a hassle as sites like newegg and amazon don't, though i am going to the UK for a holiday and could get some parts shipped while im there)

Overclocking: Maybe, i would like the option for doing so in the future once I've done some research.

SLI or Crossfire: Yes, though if you think it would be better not to suggest an alternative.

Anyway all feedback is appreciated, i really want this PC to be able to run anything on max and any suggestions for improvements would be great.

Everything looks pretty good, crossfire is fine but it's more of an enthusiast or a workstation thing. if its just for gaming and web i would go with single card. like what Surgeking suggested.

Alright thanks for the input guys, by going with the gtx 670 or radeon hd 7970 ( ghz ed) would i be able to later on add in a second when the performance starts to dip? also with the money saved on the cards is there any recommendations for upgrades for the other components.
