For the past 3 months, I've been working round the clock in my IT class to fix a server tower. Whoever owned it before me didn't wipe their SCSI drives and left 2,000$ worth of software on it (Server 2008). I finally got it to boot to login but it was locked with an administrator password. We nearly cracked the code, but the school administration got hold of all of our equipment and wiped the drives on the server. Now they left us an even bigger mess to clean up. We think the drives MIGHT be corrupted, not entirely sure, but it was working fine the week before they started scanning all our hardware. We swapped drives with a dell server, but it wouldn't read those either. I think the problem now resides within the RAID controller and possibly the RAM. Cause when they scanned and wiped it, the tower started going crazy every other boot sequence. Now all it does is hang up every time we try and boot it.
