my Fuji A303 has developed a problem. When I turn it on the LCD screen lights up with all the program information. I can set the date etc. etc. etc. The display is turned on and all the other systems are go.

The problem is that there is no image showing on the screen (WHICH IS TURNED ON) and if i take pictures by looking in the view finder, they come up blank on the screen.

I know the LCD screen is working, because I can read the menu etc, but it's as if there is a lens cover over the lens.
The auto lens cover opens when I turn on the camera and the zoom lens extends. All I can see from the screen is the menu.

Any thoughts? I hate to throw it away because I've only taken about 20 pictures with it since I bought it a year ago.

please answer to my e mail if you think you might know.
