Rambus memory comes in 800Mhz flavors, but what´s the bloody point if the FSB is only 400Mhz?

RDRAM transmits twice per clock cycle. PC800 RDRAM is actually a 400MHz part, running at double-data-rate (DDR) for an 'effective' rate of 800MHz.
