My current psu is the AcBel PC9059-EL0G TFX 180W Power Supply and I'm looking to replace it with a minimum 300w psu. I have an Lenovo H520-57311128 model slimline computer. The dimensions of the power supply currently is roughly 6.8x3.2x2.5. I'm wondering if all tfx power supply are the same or if only certain ones will fit. Also, will a radeon hd 7750 low profile fit in my computer or is there any other low profile card that can fit?

Hi - AMD/Nvidia both recommend more PSU power than you actually need,
to account for things such as exaggerated publ specs, and older
designs that have less than sufficient amps on the +12v rail.

realhrdtechx suggests a quality 350w unit to power a sys with 1 7750.

Here's a good quality tfx PSU, sorry it's a bit pricey, but there aren't
a lot of quality tfx psu's on Newegg, but the Seasonic is a good one:

Tom

your pc does have 1 half length low profile pci e slot, so this 7750 should fit:

You'd be just fine going with a Seasonic 300W TFX for $38. I'm not familiar with your current AcBel power supply, but it might even power a HD7750 with no problems. I actually run a HD7750 on a power supply smaller than the one you've currently got. Since it is of unknown quality, you may want the peace of mind that the 300W Seasonic would bring, however.

A HD7750 only draws 43W max when loaded (source). That would mean it will pull about 4 amps of current from the +12V rail.

The TFX12V Power Supply Design Guide states that the standardized physical dimensions are:

2.56"(W) x 3.35"(H) x 6.89"(L); 65mm(W) x 85mm(H) x 175mm(L)

The position and size of the mounting slot on the bottom of the TFX form factor power supply is also standardized.

A Radeon HD 7750 Low Profile graphics card with a low profile bracket should fit in the Lenovo H520s small form factor system.

The seasonic ss-300tfx has dimensions of 6.9" x 3.3" x 2.8" while my psu currently is 6.8x3.2x2.5, will the power supply still fit if it is just a few centimeters off?

The Seasonic SS-300TFX 80 PLUS Bronze model is wider where the PSU's cooling fan is mounted.

You will have check your system to see if the protrusion will interfere with the PSU cooling fan's ability to draw in cooling air.

You can go with the more expensive and more efficient Seasonic SS-300TGW 80 PLUS Gold which is 175mm(6.9")*85mm(3.3")*63.5mm(2.5") and not have to worry about it not fitting.

It looks like lenghwise you are OK:

I think you'll just have to crack open the case and measure to see if the height and width are OK. Every 0.1" is equal to 2.54 millimeters, so it's pretty close. TFX is a standard, but you never know.

Length of the Seasonic SS-300TFX 80 PLUS Bronze model was never an issue.

The PSU's cooling fan faces the motherboard. Since the fan protrudes out from the power supply by about a quarter of an inch there needs to be enough clearance between the PSU's cooling fan and the motherboard so that the PSU doesn't get choked off from the intake air it needs to cool itself.
