I have been looking for this fx-8300 - fd8300wmw8khk cpu from a retailer since its release. Just like the fx-8100 I never found one.
For some reason these 95 watt processors never become available at retail.

According to CPU World, the chip in question is solely an OEM / tray-only CPU. There is no boxed retail version of it.

I think you are correct, last week I came across a desktop w/ the fx-8300.
I'm not interested since I plan on assembling my own pc and have already purchased the case and some components.
