مشکل cpu intel e6420

Hello,
i have a ga-vm900mc mother board and ibye a intel e6420 but it dont work on my mother board. i update bios to ver f4 bot my problem is not be solved why? pls help me

when i turn on th computer first my cd turn on and then turn off and no sound and nothing else!!!

my mother board is correct and with a pentium 4 ht 621 it works good!!!

intel e6420 is in the cpu support list that i see at gygabyte website. you know.
