Keyboard and Mouse Freezes

I have recently had an issue with my keyboard and mouse that they will both freeze simultaneously for around 3 seconds then start working again no messages pop up just they both stop working at the same time for around 3-10 seconds, anyone know what may cause this issue is and how to fix it?

could be a mb bios issue or a failing hard drive..most time is number 2. try making a hirem boot cd boot from it and run some hd tools.

Run a hard drive test in DOS... HIRENS BOOT CD etc, it sounds like a failing hard drive...
