Hi, I'm a new poster and I have a really esoteric question. I recently came into a non-functioning Dell Inspiron 3500, my current plan is to strip it for parts. One of the most appealing parts is the 14.1" LCD screen, and I'm looking for a way to convert it to a standard SVGA monitor. I took the laptop apart, the screen is it's own unit with what looks like a proprietary 40 pin connector attached to the motherboard. If anybody's tried this before and has any stories, or has a pinout for this connector that would be great. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from people.
