Is my power supply good?

It's been almost a month since I built my computer. I'm currently helping someone out building a computer, and was looking at the power supply tier list (http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/323050.aspx) when I stumbled upon something shocking.

I have a Topower-TOP 1000W power supply (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817342041).

The thing is, Topower Top is ranked 5th on the tier list.

However, Topower 1000W GOLD is listed 3rd, which is what I thought it was.

I'm afraid that I have bought a power supply in the 5th tier, which would not be good. My power supply says it's Topower-TOP, but it also says it's GOLD.

I would think that the power supply is the one in tier 3, but I need to verify this.

80 PLUS GOLD Certified means that it is more than 80% Energy efficient.. 87% if this explanation is anything to go by - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/80_Plus
