Hi all,

Our company just hired a designer and we want her to have a good machine to work on.

We've got a PC on hand with the following specs:

Intel Pentium CPU G620 @2.60GHz
RAM: 4GB
64 bit windows 7
NVIDIA Geforce GTX560 SE

Already know that we will need to put in more RAM (is 16GB overkill?) but i'm also wondering if we should upgrade the CPU as well.

Any advice is very much appreciated :wahoo:

That is a good machine for the time being. Probably 8gb will be enough and later on, you should upgrade to the i5 3570.

I'd want an i5 and 8GB of RAM.

Thats ok for the time being but you'd get alot better performance upgrading to an I5. The more cores would definitely help, plus the added stock speeds. As said above - 8gb of ram should be plenty.
