I love to play the Sims 3 and am looking at either a new PC or possibly upgrading my graphics card instead which ever is the most cost effective. The specs that I have:

HP Pavilion Slimline 55 1014 PC
4 GB DDR3
Graphics: Intel GMA X4500
H Drive: 750 MG

The graphics in this PC are just '"ok" but I would like better - not blurred.

Thank you for your in-sight - I'm not really that good w/ PC's.

Your slimline PC has got a 220W PSU, which is inadequate for even most of the low profile GPUs.
You're going to need a PSU upgrade. But a regular PSU wouldn't do the trick.

You're going to need a TFX PSU like this one.

With that, you can go for, maybe a low profile HD 6570 or so.

It should cost you around $85 in total.

Thank you for the response! This was very helpful ... but would the following work too or would it not work in my pc?

PowerColor AX6670 1GBK3-HL Radeon HD 6670 1GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card
