VGA No Signal

I just put all my new parts in my case and the monitor says VGA No Signal when booted. The PSU is working and the CPU fan goes on. The monitor has an HDMI cord plugged in, the other side being plugged into the graphics card. The graphics card doesn't have a VGA slot, only HDMI. Does anyone know what's going on? Btw, the graphics card is a Sapphire Radeon by AMD and the monitor is an Asus VE248H 24" monitor. Thanks   .

Can you try the DVI connector to see if maybe you have a bad HDMI cable?

I don't. I've been using it on my xbox for ages so I know it's working. But I'll try using my DVI just in case. Get back to you in a little bit.
