Help me Obi Wan... I know nothing about building a computer

I'm self teaching at the moment. Collecting the parts for a home built system. Mainly for gaming (COD3, BF3).

What I'm after is the obvious experience on this forum to say 'hey, idiot, you can't use a #%^ with a @#%'...

At present I'm not looking at OC, but I may get bored in the future after I learn more about all this stuff.

After spending 4 days researching on the net, and not knowing what anything means, I've come up with this.

Prices are from MSY.COM.AU (AUD)

MoBo - GB Z77X-UD3H 168

CPU - Intel i5-3570k 233

GPU - GB 2G GTX N670OC 449

HDD - Scandisk SSD Extreme 120gb 95

RAM - G.Skill 16gb Kit 1333(8Gx2) 77

Case - CoolerMaster Storm Enforer 95

PSU - Antec TP 750 135

CPU Cooler - CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO 38

Total: $1290

I'll be salvaging from my current box: 2 TB Seagate SATA drive; PCI Gigabit network card; 24inch Benq monitor; 5.1 Logitech speakers; DVD burner; MX15 Gaming mouse/KB; Windows 7 64 Ulimate.

-Does the MoBo have the integrated sound for 5.1 speakers?
-Does the case come with a PSU? Do I need the 'aftermarket' PSU I've listed? Do I need the CPU Cooler?
-Do I need 1333 RAM or maybe 1600 or higher?
-Will it all fit in the case!?

I'm happy with the total price at the moment, but if Ive gone overboard for my gaming use I wouldn't mind cutting back a bit.

Case does not come with a PSU. You might be able to reuse your old one though depending on it's wattage.

M/B has sound all covered for ya.

I would go with less ram at a faster speed. i.e. 8Gb at 1600Mhz. 16Gb is overkill for gaming you're better off with just faster ram.

It should all fit in that case without a hitch.

-Do I need 1333 RAM or maybe 1600 or higher? i would get 8gb of 1600 or if you want to splurge get 16gb

-Will it all fit in the case!? yes easilly

Thanks for the prompt replies!! I'll switch over to the 8gb at 1600 and stick with the Hyper 212.
