Hey all, so I have a question about screen resolution. I'm about to get a new laptop and I would like to run games on it like skyrim and battlefield 3 on at least medium/high. This laptop is going to be a 15.6" screen

So my options are to buy a laptop with a GTX660m 2GB BUT with a 1366x768 resolution screen.

OR i can buy a laptop with either a GT 640M 2GB or GT 650M 2GB but with a 1920x1080 resolution.

So I understand that with a higher res screen, it stresses out the graphics card more.

So my questions are
1. Is a 1366x768 or 1920x1080 better for a 15 inch screen, for gaming that is? Is a 1366x768 screen bad for gaming? (on a 15" screen?)
2. Is the GT 640M as well as the GT 650M powerful enough to run on a 1920x1080 screen.
3. Which options of the two above is better? And why?
4. Overall which screen is better for use on a laptop? Not just gaming but casual use (Please take in to consideration of the cards listed)

Additional info added upon request.

Thank You very much!

I used to have a dell studio 15" laptop and always lowered the screen resolution to 1650x1050 just to be able to read all the texts. 1920x1080p is an overkill for that screen size even if your not gaming. My 13" mbp looks super sharp with 1280x800 resolution. For gaming, the gtx660m will be better provided the rest of the system specs of those laptops are same/similar. 1366x768 is sharp enough for a 15" screen.

for 15'' screen, 1366x786 should be sharp enough. At 1920x1080 everything would look really small on a 15" screen. Your much better off with the gtx660m instead of gt650m/640m. You can always use a secondary display(a monitor/tv) to output games at 1080p. 15" screen isn't ideal for that. And there is no point of having 1920x1080 screen and not enough horse power to run games at high-ultra on that.

Thanks for the quick answer! But if im gaming, can I lower my resolution to 1366x768 if I have a 1920x1080 screen? What if I'n not gaming? Will the graphics look bad if its not a 1080 screen?
