Need advice on best graphics card on a 300w PSU

hello, i have a budget range around £60 and i'm looking for the best graphics card on a 300w psu. i would upgrade my psu, but again that costs money and im on a tight budget :(.

I am looking for a card as i play games, but because im using integrated graphics at the minute (intel hd 2000 -.-) i cant play much, and so i only really play WoW.

here are some of the system specs that may be useful:

Processor: Intel pentium g840 dual core 2.80Ghz
Memory: 8GB ram
Graphics: Intel HD
PSU: 300W

i've looked up this topic many times, and i seen some people saying that the Radeon 6670 is the best choice, but on their website (here http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/amd-radeon-hd-6000/hd-6670/pages/amd-radeon-hd-6670-overview.aspx/#3 ) it says it requires a 400w psu?

thanks for the help :)

  1. here is my PSU

i tried to upload it here, but it was sideways for some bizzare reason.
  2. with just 12 amps on the 12 v theres very little you can run on it
your best bet would be a hd 6570
any higher than that and its either a psu upgrade or game finished for your psu!
  3. If im looking to buy a 6670, whats the cheapest PSU i could get that would be able to run it?

    i found this : http://www.amazon.co.uk/450w-Gold-Silent-Power-Supply/dp/B000O38OPG/ref=sr_1_4?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1344093213&sr=1-4 , a 450w PSU. would that be able to run the 6670?
  4. Here's a HD 6670 for just over 50 pounds:

Look at either of these "quality" power supplies, each less than 40 pounds:

    Corsair CX430V2:

  6. If you can afford a decent system, save your money. Dont spend now on a videocard that will not bring you the results. Be patient, save some money, and get together a GREAT PSU and the videocard for your needs. The great thinkg about getting the right PSU, is that you only have to do it once, and that same PSU will you run with you for your next 15 years

it looks like ill be doing that.. when you say a great PSU, what makes a psu great? what do i look for?
  8. Antec VP-450 is typically among the cheapest good quality PS that I and many others here would recommend. If you can find this for cheap, you would be advised to get one. Anything cheaper is typically poor quality in comparison.

  9. ill look. If im upgrading my PSU, should i only upgrade to a 450W? or should i go higher? which will i get the most use out of?

A good 450 watt PS is sufficient for entry to mid level graphic cards. 500-600 watt PS would typically be needed for moderate to high graphic cards. Higher wattage PS cost more.
