I am confused with 7970 and gtx 680

Hello everybody, i know that there is another page about this topic but it didnt answer my question... i am upgrading my system and i was thinking of buying hd 7970 but some peop. told me gtx 680 is better and i did a little research about it, and the specs of 7970 looks better then gtx 680. 3GB memory and 384-bit bus makes 7970 much better than the 2GB 256 bit gtx 680 while it has 2GB memory and 256 bit bus. and the cheapest gtx 680 is $500 and i was going to buy a 7970 paying $460 but the interesting thing is that fps rates are higher with gtx 680 (actually 7970 wins when oc'ed) btw my psu is OCZ600SXS can i use these cards with my PSU (i really dont understand from psu's please help me about this) well actually there are two questions  well i am upgrading my system as i wrote before here is a list of parts:

CPU: İntel i5 3570k

MOBO: MSI Z77A-G45

RAM: G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB 1600 MHz 1.5v

GPU: gtx 680 or 7970

So can OCZ600SXS handle all these? (product page is ths i think: http://www.ocztechnology.com/ocz-600w-stealthxstream-power-supply-eol.html) shortly: 1-gtx 680 or 7970 2-does my psu support these cards

More about confused 7970
  1. It should be able to, and should be able to overclock too.

so you believe that my psu's pci-e output is allright with bıth cards? i dont really understand from the psu stuff so...
  3. I think your psu is fine for either card. The 680 is the faster card. And try not to compare a radeon gpu vs an nvidia one by cudas or frequencies because they perform differently. Use benchmarks to compare them.
  4. well :))) that sounds fantastic! i guess i will be buying a gtx 680

Well thanks... i guess i will go with Sapphire HD 7970 GHz edition cuz there isnt a real difference, besides 7970 has 3GB GDDR5 memory and 384 bit wide bus... and it is an awsome overclocker, when it is overclocked, i dont believe gtx 680 stock would be better than the 7970 GHz edition. I am buying these from newegg for $873.96 (without delivery):

    CPU: intel i5 3570k

    MOBO: MSI Z77A-G45

    GPU:Sapphire Vapor-X HD 7970 GHz edition 3GB

    RAM:CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB 240 pin
