Hello,

I have a problem starting my 3 years old computer.

It starts, the fan turns for a few seconds and then it shuts down. It does that repeatedly.

I cleared the CMOS values, took the battery out and put it back in. Nothing changes.

I haven't done anything to the computer lately at all.

Help please!

Does it make any beeping noises?

If not then either your MB shorted out somehow or your PSU is going bad, Or your switch is faulty.

I don't think the problem is the switch or the PSU. Any idea what could be done to check what is wrong with the motherboard?

Thanks:) .

Make sure the CPU cooler is working. It will shut down the computer automatically to protect the CPU from overheating if it's not.

All the fans (graphics, intel and power unit) start working and then die off. :(
