My system specs:
Amd 8120
Gtx 670
6GB kingston RAM
650 watt PSU

Ok so The title says it all.
I'm wondering if it's worth it and going to give me a substantial performance increase in games.
I notice an FPS increase when I overclock my 8120 but will it be huge by going for this Intel ?

PLUS am I getting the maximum performance out of my gtx 670 or not by having this AMD 8120?

Cheers

Only if you play a CPU-bound game.

For instance, in Cysis 2, I noticed almost no difference when I went from a Phenom X6 at 3.4Ghz to a 2600k at 4.2 Ghz. Same for BF3....

According to this, you should get at maximum 40% FPS increase.
Try overclocking your current CPU.
If you gain a lot of FPS through overclocking, then you are CPU bottlenecked. Otherwise you should be fine.

And BTW 40 FPS on low is way too slow for a rig like yours.
I get similar FPS on my PC and it's leagues below yours.

You didn't see a difference in BF3? For realz? My minimum framerates took a huge leap and my MAX framerates jumped by like 12-15 if I'm not mistaking. That was just my experience though.

Sure, that's good if you've got the money to burn. In this case, simply upgrading to an 8350 would be the most cost-effective option.
