Graphics using hdtv with pc

I have a desktop pc hooked up via hdmi to an LG 32LD450 tv, using an XFX 6770 graphics card. In CCC and windows i set for 1080 resolution since this is the tv native. the picture however looks awful, blurry, underscan, etc. I can use the scaler in CCC to fill the screen but still have horrible picture, cant hardly read text. if i play a bluray disc the picture looks fantastic full screen, but anything pc related such as desktop, pc games etc notsomuch. If i connect using the 15pin vga the picture looks better text and all.

Check TV settings, try finding a PC mode.
