First build help me out in decision making please!

I have done some research and was wondering if this rig I came up with wasn't over the top in any aspect:
The motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131818
The processor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116504\
The video card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121637
The case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139006
The D-RAM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233287
The PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139022
The HDD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136533
All tied into a Windows 7 Professional for future D-RAM upgrades.
I have this all on Newegg.com shipping cart with tax and shipping for $1,763.40.
I wanted to leave room for future upgrade such as D-RAM, Processor, Video card, and possibly a water cooling system.

So whats the damage how'd I do?

So far pretty good but you should *NEVER* pay $165 for RAM - that's an absolute waste. The Dominator is nothing more than an expensive marketing gimmick that looks cool. You can get RAM for way less than that: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231558

You won't ever need more than 16GB of RAM for now - even hardcore Photshop and CAD renderings won't use more than 12GB at the most.

And then add an SSD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147163

And an aftermarket fan for that 3570K: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099

That 670 will handle everything for the next couple years. The 670 and 680 use the same GK109 processor and the 670 is $100 cheaper.
  4. And I don't know how to configure and/or setup 2 storage systems on a computer. I know how to install them I'm just unsure about how it works. Does the SSD and the HDD show up as two different drives under Computer?
  5. Also is there any point in getting RAM that's this fast for my MOBO?
  6. My build total is now at $1,875.99 thank you very much for the help!!!
  7. You can get pretty much the same HDD here for almost $40 less. The only difference is the brand.
