Hi all,

Just wanted to run what I plan on getting by some people that know a lot more than me. I'd appreciate comments about incompatibilities, poor components and whether I have missed something. I shouldn't really be spending the money I have on this so equivalent but cheaper suggestions are welcome (but not at the cost of too much quality). Also I can go down a bit on performance if I'm buying something that does way more than I would need. I use my PC for lots of things but the priority is running BF3 smoothly on decently high settings.

I have found things to be cheapest on amazon, particularly as shipping is free. Any other places I should look for UK e-sellers?

Approximate Purchase Date: By the end of the week

Budget Range: Can't go much higher than what I am showing (£434.68) maybe £450 at a push

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Pretty much playing BF3

Are you buying a monitor: No

Do you need to buy OS: No (Have Windows 7 64 bit [professional I think])

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Amazon (or anywhere in the UK cheaper)

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Parts Preferences: Intel CPU only

Overclocking: Not too interested

SLI or Crossfire: Not very interested

Your Monitor Resolution: 1680x1050

Additional Comments: I don't have any major fetish's for looks (LED's etc)

Components I am looking at getting:

Corsair Carbide Series 400R Mid-Tower Gaming Case

Intel 3rd Generation Core i5-3570K CPU

MSI Z77A-GD65 Motherboard

Corsair 8GB 1600Mhz CL9 DDR3 Vengeance Memory

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 CPU Cooler

Arctic Silver 5 3.5g Thermal Paste

Components I have:

Seagate Barracuda 3.5 inch 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB 6GB/S Internal SATA Drive

Antec 620W 80 PLUS Bronze Modular Power Supply

EVGA GF GTX 660Ti 2GB GDDR5

Total cost of new parts is £434.68

Thanks!

Thanks for the advice, have altered my Amazon basket to what you suggest. =)

Anyone else got suggestions?
