installation problems in windows installer

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.customize (More info?)

i get the following message when i get to the end of an install " you do
not have access to make the required system modifications. Please rerun this
installation from an administrators account" I am running xp media this
application ran fine on xp and since it is an update it updated fine on xp.
i am the only system administrator on this computer. I tryed to install in
windows safe mode with same message.
please advise.
