Power supply issues

Hello I have a gateway DX 4710-09 the SN is PTG320X0058521083C2700 SNID is 85206764427 I got a Corsair CX430 Powersupply and I am running into some issues I connected the 24 pin and the sata cables the old power supply has a 4 pin connector that has two on top and two on the bottom but my power supply doesnt have that I guess its the CPU???? my old powersupply has the 24pin cable sata cords and that 4 pin two top and two on the bottom but my new power supply has like 10000000000000 extra cords what do I put in the 4 pin slot

The 8 pin lead labeled CPU will fit in the 4 pin slot. No need to try to break it.
Look carefully, and you will see that it only fits just one way.
The latch side will be still on the latch side.
The unconnected parts will just protrude.
This is actually a clever inexpensive way to provide for motherboards with either 4 or 8 pin cpu connectors.
