Hi,

I'm playing Battlefield 3 and I'm trying to get a higher performance. I overclocked my GPU which works fine but my CPU causes a bottleneck on large maps and I get 40-45 fps. On small maps though, i get 55-60. My CPU is working on %70 while in-game. Is that a good percent? The built-in performance graph of BF3 tells me my CPU causes the bottleneck. What can i do to fix it?

Here is my system:

AMD Phenom 2 x6 1100T -B.E 3.3 Ghz
Powercolor HD 6870 1 GB (Overclocked at 920Mhz)
8 GB DDR3 RAM

Thanks in advance

OC your CPU by rasing your multiplier. Don't touch the FSB. Check out the OC guide for AMD BE CPUs. The principal is the same on all BEs, so don't worry about the specific CPU used in the guide.

Edit: The OC guide can be found here

If your CPU is working upper than 70% and your GPU is working lower than 90%, you are getting CPU bottleneck.

Follow these steps:

1- Overclock your CPU
2- Stop redundant background services and tasks which make your CPU busy
3- Undo your GPU overclock and use it at stock states
4- Play the game at ultra settings
